Have you tried contacting the forum moderator? You can leave a comment or ask a question.
At the bottom of every page on the forum you can click on the contact us link. Not sure they will reply as I’ve reported some of the posts here that have nothing to do with Serial1e-bikes and haven’t heard a thing back from them. It’s a wild forum with little over site as best as I can tell.
Cheers enjoy the ride.

I’ve reported a couple of posts with nothing to do with Serial 1 bikes yet they’re still here so I guess there are no moderators as the posts are still up. Might look for another forum.

Many prospective buyers are going to find this forum when they are researching Serial 1. It makes a very poor first impression when their own board is overrun with advertisements for other bikes and spam.

I’ve tried posting on the /r/serial one subreddit. My post sat for days without mod approval.

Then, there’s this site, also with an absentee mod, but wide-open posting.

Then, there’s a “Serial One Owners’ Forum”, also PHPBB, which has one thread updated in 2023, and a post that has been up since October 2022 titled “Here is Practical Explanation about Next Life, Purpose of Human Life”.

If there’s a well-moderated site or sub, I haven’t found it yet.

It seems that there is no one watching this site although I’ve reported a couple posts as being unrelated to Serial 1 bikes and they were removed. Clearly there are no moderators actually monitoring the site so I don’t understand why.
The serial 1 owners forum has less members and far fewer posts but does have a moderator.
Cheers

I think the admin may have tightened things up a bit. A few months ago, there were lots of posts like "What do you think of your ebike? I am really liking my MAGIC CYCLE 4.2 AVAILABLE NOW FOR ONLY €1399" (where the bold text is a hyperlink to a page selling the Magic Cycle).

Now, the last few spam postings I've seen have no embedded links at all. They are just text. Limiting embedded links is usuallly an optional feature of the forum, so it looks like they have turned that on. There are other features, like CAPTCHA to cut-down on bot posts; and delays (e.g. you can only lurk for 1 week, then you can only Comment, for a two weeks, then you can post if you have >5 Comments, with no reported spam). Usually the human spam farms don't have the patience to wait around 2 weeks before posting spam.

The forum itself is probably not administered by a Serial1 owner/fan; it appears to be hosted by VerticalScope, a publicly-traded corporation based in Toronto ON CA. I expect that they could have 12 paid staff, who administer (on average) 100 forums each. So they do have a business interest in this forum not dying; but also, they may not be as dedicated as a Serial1 fan/owner.
