Serial 1 sent out this email about how to take care of your bike in the winter and it got me wondering. Does anyone have any other tips or tricks for how to survive winter? Or are you storing your bike until it gets warmer?

My wife use it as daily bike… So I ordered the SKS Mudrocker front & rear for the mud and the rain. And also a new bicycle bell, because the original one don‘t make a sound. Replaced it with a Knog Oi Luxe black S.

Still winter here but we’re back to the thawing days and freezing nights making things icy. Another month and most of the snow and ice should be gone. I’m still riding but I definitely have to wear more layers to keep from freezing. I try to stick to the multi user trails but many times moose have forced me to backtrack and at times to ride on the sidewalks/streets to get around them. I tried pogies on my handle bars but they block the display and I prefer to see the display while riding. So a good pair of mittens from Sealskins does the job to keep my hands warm along with hand and toe warmers. Cleaning the bike after riding is a must as at times I’m riding through water and ice which will build up on the bike. Riding gives me time to reflect, relax and forget all the problems we are facing these days.
