I've been commuting by bike to work on and off for 55 years. E-bikes offer some excellent advantages to commuting. You can carry more, move much faster and still get a great work out.
My previous e-bike was a Trek Super Commuter 8, great bike...
All e-bikes that lack of suspension will cause your body some extra hurts at high speeds.
I am a big believer in seatpost type shocks and even headset shock dampeners.... Serial 1 allows for a seat post shock system but the headset is so intergal to the bike I'm afraid a shock dampening system will be limited to reducing the air in the front tire to 30 psi.
A few other very important things a commuter bike needs are: quality bar end mirrors, water, panniers and a mace pistol for aggressive dogs. I always have a Road I.D. attached to the bike so they can find my next of kin if necessary.

I'm a major adherent to seatpost type stuns and even headset shock dampeners.... Sequential 1 takes into consideration a seat post shock framework yet the headset is so intergal to the bicycle I'm apprehensive a shock hosing framework will be restricted to lessening the air in the front tire to 30 psi.
