Hi all, I am new here. Yesterday I picked up my rush/cty. I also immediately mounted a ring lock on the bike, these locks are almost standard on every bike in the Netherlands. A quick securing system for your bike when you walk into a store.

The lock that fits exactly (the biggest I could find) is the Abus 4750XL, with a plug-in chain to attach your bike to something.
Maybe this will help you :)

Where did you buy the 4750 XL. I live in Canada and cannot find a supplier. i found a supplier in the UK but the shipping was more than the lock.

I live in the Netherlands, ordered the lock from the Dutch version of Amazon. Also, many online bike parts webshops have them in stock here. I'm afraid that most webshops here don't ship to Canada.

Maybe you can call or email an Abus dealer to see if they can order these locks: Partners Worldwide

I can find the lock on the US Abus site though: 4750XL NR BK

I have looked for it in the US too, online (Amazon and specialized online bike shops) without much success either. I like the concept but those ring locks are less popular here than in Europe so I guess there are not that many models available…

Thank you for posting this - just what I was looking for!

It's a bit crazy that these $5,000 bikes do not come with any locks.

Nice photos, thanks. I have been trying to find a Abus 4750 XL here in the US for months, always out of stock. Finally found one in Spain that arrived in pieces in a plastic bag. Just recently saw that Lockitt had provided a sale via later shipment and I signed up and received the lock within a little more than a week. I just installed it yesterday using the
Abus Clutching Strap LH Adapter (which was another Internet search). It just fits with a little squeeze of the fender. My frame lock sits down on the fender like yours. I had to have my wife and her smaller fingers get those nylocs started. My 5/16ths socket fits well to tighten. The Abus 4750 XL didn't come with the ABUS Steel Chain Ring Lock Adapter but I found one at Trek.com as a Electra ABUS Steel Chain Ring Lock Adapter (Electra is a Trek line) for the lowest cost.

Everything you need when traveling out is looking for a bike rack and safely locking your bike to it. But today I will recommend you the way to lock your bike without a rack, it's convenient for you when you don't know where to lock your bike easily and safely. To do this process you should find a good-quality lock like U-lock, Cable, or Chain lock. You can also choose to take the quick-release off the front wheel for more options. The bike will be utterly unrideable as a result, deterring the burglar from taking it. Similarly, if you do not want to bind your back wheel to the front wheel, this is an excellent alternative.
