Hi,
On a few commutes when I was going over 18 miles per hour or applying a constant load of torque at 18 mph or more for an extended period of time the pedals suddenly lost resistance and shifted forward. Then once the incident stopped I would resume pedaling as normal. As it turns out, this trait was due to a lack of tension in the Gates Carbon Drive Belt.
The Serial One User Manual states that RUSH/CITY proper belt tension is: 28 to 40lbs or 35 to 50Hz.
